I have a Joomla 1.0 site and use mojoBlog. It’s been working out pretty well with the exception of SEF URLs and searching. I know this is because mojoBlog is a component and isn’t well developed yet. The SEF issue isn’t that big of a deal because Google still crawls the pages and people can find what I post. The searching has been a little weird.
I really like the included Joomla search module. It’s works great but I just realized it doesn’t return results for any of my blog posts. I had tried setting up Google search before, but it didn’t work too well. I then tried to set it up again today and was still having problems with it finding my blog posts. The weird thing is that if I do a normal Google search, go to the advanced options and search just my site, I can find blog posts.
I took the searchbox code Google provided and popped it into a module and created a static page for the search results. I also popped the provided search results code onto the static page. When I do a search with the module it goes to the static page, but doesn’t show any results, it just shows an empty search bar. Then when I type my search into the search bar on the static page, no results for blog posts.
Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Edit: Turns out sh404SEF was trying to re-write the URL for the landing page. After I told it not to, everything worked fine.
Wow. This sounds familiar, minus the court case. Luckily I’m not permanently disabled.

The Criterion Collection has always been known for it’s collection of classic, timeless films. The films that persist and stick around for generations. In fact, there are only a dozen or so film from the last decade and two of them happen to be by Wes Anderson.
In an unprecedented move, the Criterion people have decided to add a film to it’s collection from 2008. Usually it takes a while to get in. Can you guess what made it? No, not Dark Knight, Milk, The Wrestler or Slumdog Millionaire. Give up? The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
Now I know that Armageddon is on the Criterion list. So maybe this just follows suit. The aging and the time stuff was kind of cool, but other then that it was just ok. Thoughts on this? Am I coming off all High Fidelity elite?
If you enjoy what Jim Jarmusch has made, particularly Ghost Dog, you might want to check out his upcoming film The Limits of Control. Starring Gael Garcia Bernal, Tilda Swinton (who really looks like Angelica Huston in the trailer), John Hurt and Bill Murray - this film looks promising.
Getting ready to make some enchiladas. They’re pretty labor-intensive, but not nearly as bad as making tamales by yourself. I don’t think I’ve made any enchiladas since before I got sick all the time. That was about 2005 or 2006. Luckily I’m my lungs are so much better now than they have been. It’s been way too long. Liz has asked me to please not make them hot so she can actually eat some. I might make two batches of sauce. We’ll see how things work out.
