Trudy, I don’t know a whole lot about these except that they taste amazingly good. Here’s what wikipedia has to say - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotch_eggs. We at ours right away with the exception of a couple leftovers. I just popped those into a plastic container until I ate them the next day.

There’s an English pub close to us now that serves them as an appetizer as well. Haven’t had them, but the guy at work always raved about them. I figured I needed to check them out.

We’ve got a restaurant in town that has Scotch Eggs as an appetizer… They’re SOOOOO good and hard to resist. My wife doesn’t like them and there are far too many in the appetizer for me to eat alone, so I often don’t get them. But, whenever we’re there with a larger group, I pretty much can’t not order them.
