I used to write on here all the time. Now, I just seem to be busy. Anyways, as most summers seem to be, this one was been wedding filled too. Last weekend was a trip out to Louisville with Robby and Joezinga to see Bendog and company. His dad rented out one of those fancy boxes at a baseball game so we all got to hang out, eat free food and watch the game. Afterwards we went over to David’s house where I was introduced to Guitar Hero I and II on PS2. All I can say is, “Where have I been?” These games rock. I feel a little addicted even though I played all of 30 min. I’ve been looking around on Ebay here and there to see if I can find it cheap. Not really happening, but who knows, maybe I’ll pick it up some day.
This weekend happened to be Sara and Lando’s wedding. I wasn’t super involved with this wedding, which was kind of nice. It seems like I’m in 3 every summer. In fact, I believe this is the first summer I haven’t been in a wedding since 2001. I tried to help out here and there by running messages, keeping Arya occupied and chatting away with the relatives. Some of them I see every once in a while like Josh and Ashley, Justin and Candice, Lee, Kenny, Grandama Ruth, etc. Others I met for the first time, like Betty and Carrie, and some I only really see at things like weddings. Those would be people like Donna, David, Courtney, Lindsey, Tristan and Rita (who also goes by Ria and Ita silent ‘R’). I made a big mistake by calling Ken, Kenny. He didn’t seem to like that too much, but I know how he feels. Nobody likes being called the wrong name. Currently Arya’s in that stage where she continually says, “What’s that?” or “Who’s that?”. She always comes up to me, pats me twice and then says hi or asks who I am. Eventually I just told her she already knows who I am. It almost sounded like she tried to say my name, but I’m not really sure. Kids at that age make so many sounds it’s hard to know if they’re always forming words or not. All in all it was a good time.
