Last night officially kicked off Movie Nights 2006. I’ve been doing this for a while now. Seems kinda weird to think of it in those kinds of terms, but it’s true. We watched The Life of David Gale. This is one I hadn’t seen before, but had always heard it was pretty good. There’s some great acting from Kevin Spacey, Laura Linney and Kate Winslet. I’ll probably be putting something up on the Movie Blog soon about it. Things have been pretty informal in the past. This year I’ve started sending out more official-looking emails and I think I’m going to be following these up with a post-email containing a link to the Movie Blog to encourage discussion amongst the viewers. Things seem to be busier than ever this summer and I’m not completely sure why. I seem to always be short on sleep with never a lack of something I could be doing. Liz is gone for about a month. She’s hitting up the Tour de France again. Maybe I’ll have some more time to get some things done and maybe not. I guess time will tell on that one.
