Taking a spin on over to the Post Office to check my mail today during lunch and gas is going up 30 cents per gallon. So I quickly get over to the BP where it’s still only $2.49 (a price we would have laughed about 3 years ago) and filled up as much as I could. Then I make like Paul Revere and spread the word with the help of IM and my trusty cell phone. One of these days people are just going to stop driving their cars cause they can’t afford to.

The ironic thing about this “gas crisis” is that it in no way actually affects the habits of most Americans. Sure, everyone complains, but then they fork over the big bucks to fill their tanks, and drive around by themselves in their big SUV. I can’t wait until gas becomes like $4/gallon; then people might actually walk or ride a bike.
BTW, movie recommendation: Withnail & I. Dunno if you’ve seen it, but Brendan Lee showed it to me and I thought it was teh funnay. My sister likes it too.
