Well, I met up with Big Red and what a glorious event it was. I got to ride in the back for the last 7miles. We basically yelled a lot, waved at people, threw packs of Big Red gum at them and honked the horn a lot. We also timed it so we hit 200k exactly in front of Morris for the crowd of awaiting fans. We tried to call Neville but got his voicemail. So sad he couldn’t be there with us. Afterwards we enjoyed an awesomely decorated sheet cake Shorb got from Walmart.
Now I’m working on cooking 2lbs of pintos. Planning on making some chalupa but I feel the need to make some refried for some burritos as well…..so many choices. If I am deed making chalupa I still need to cook the meat to add in later. Today should be a busy day in the kitchen.
Today is Big Red’s big day….the day he turns 200,000. Last night we were putting some miles on him by driving to the Waffle Steak in Anderson where I got a triple order of hashbrowns with lots of good stuff on them. Jamin and Shorb and working on creating a documentary about this whole thing. The festivities were supposed to start up at noonish today. They gave me a call about 11:30 saying they were on their way back from Gas City. I hopped in the shower about 10min later and have been awaiting their return ever since. I think I missed the gravy train. I really have no idea where they are. They were planning on finishing the final laps around the loop, but I don’t really feel like walking down there to see if they’re looping the loop or not. So maybe they’ll show up back here? I hope lots of people are cheering Big Red on. Neville wrote Big Red a poem. It’s great. If you see Mr. Red, please wish him a happy 200k.
thanks for all your support man. im sorry about the miscommunication there, but it probably worked out best for you in the end.
thank you for including me. it made for a good story. AND we gotta go back to waffle and steak sometime. i wonder how many visits before Ivanda remembers our names?
