Book Suggestions?

Hey do any of you out there have any suggestions for books I need to read? I was going to buy How Movies Helped Save My Soul by Higgens (recommended by Neville) and then noticed I can get free shipping if I spend $25. I’m thinking of Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim by Sedaris based on Liz’s recommendation earlier this summer. So can you think of any other must-read titles I should get with free-shipping?

Go ahead and get the Sedaris book; it’s great–his best so far. Sometimes, in his earlier books, I’ve thought he can go for easy, unearned sentiment in the endings of some his essays. But in “Corduroy,” when he gets tries to move you, well, the effect is just about flawless. The piece about his lost-soul sister is the best writing he’s done so far.

One other strong recommendation: Nicholas Christopher’s novel, “A Trip to the Stars.” Amazing book.
